The more responsibility you exercise toward yourself...
"The more responsibility you exercise toward yourself, the more responsible you can become toward others." (Dr. Phil) Daytime Talk Show Truths - the Big P-R I'd made a terrible mistake. 12-year old Spencer was home from school with a sore throat. This was before the world carried cell phones and I'd left him home alone to run scheduled errands for an hour or so. I returned to find him distressed and most anxious to meet me at the door. A nasty daytime talk show had snagged him with a sick and shocking story far beyond anything he'd seen in our home or his sweet life. "Mom??? Don't those people have anything good to do or talk about?" THERE is the true question. Ever notice the lopsided percentage of overweight people who their dirty laundry on these shows? THERE is the true symptom. And the answer? Thus saith Dr. Phil: The big P-R. Personal Responsibility. Truly loving and controlling the one person you CAN change: Yourself! Oh, how much more possible it is to both inspire dear ones and to let go of dear ones when we feel good about ourselves and our OWN self- control! We DO have good things to do and talk about! And we're going to do them today with wise food choices and exercise! Much love, Carolyn, with Grace and Hope Copyright 2004 Carolyn Allen
