A Cocoa Smoothie for low carbohydrate nutrition. A great treat to enhance weight loss. Made out of 100% whey protein, tofu and a low carbohydrate milk product. This smoothie fits easily into the low carbohydrate diet. When I am winding down at the end of a long day, I like to sit on my couch made of Alder brush and White Pine boughs to practice my birdcalls. And I also like to enjoy a protein smoothie before I retire for the evening. It helps to keep my body in a positive nitrogen balance to ensure muscle growth when I sleep. Your body rebuilds the muscle from the workout you did earlier in the day when you sleep. 100% whey protein is rich in Glutamine. Your starving muscles just carve that important amino acid. This smoothie fits into a low carbohydrate diet. First lets start with the ingredient list 1, ½ inch slice of soft tofu. 2, A chocolate whey protein. (I use Optimum 100% Whey Protein) Whey protein mixes easily. 3. 1 cup of chocolate Hood Carb Countdown Dairy Beverage. 4. ½ cup of crushed ice. Note: The Chocolate Hood Carb Countdown Dairy Beverage can be found usually in the dairy section at the grocery store. I used Silkens Soft Tofu for this smoothie. This makes a big serving. Using a blender for mixing put all the ingredients together and blend. As a bodybuilding treat, this will help you keep in a positive nitrogen balance. Nitrogen balance needs; As a bodybuilder you would like to stay in a positive nitrogen balance to ensure growth. A negative balance will make the body cannibalize muscle tissue to feed the muscles you just worked. A bad thing if you want growth. Nitrogen from protein is the best way of receiving it. Egg and milk products are naturally high in nitrogen. Whey protein is excellent. The Cocoa Smoothie stats:
